Signal-based selling

also: trigger-based selling, timing-based outbound

An outbound approach that uses recent, relevant event records as one input to account prioritization and messaging.

Signal-based selling supplements static account tiers with recent event records. Reps can review accounts in an order informed by recency and configured relevance rather than treating the entire list identically.

The intended payoff is on both sides of the funnel. Prioritization can focus rep time on accounts with recent, relevant records. Messaging can use verified account context instead of a generic mail-merge, but each source and draft still requires review.

It only works if the signals are timely, relevant, and verifiable, and if the workflow puts them in front of the rep at the moment they matter, not in a quarterly CSV.

How Intakra treats it

Intakra supports signal-based selling with a board of tracked accounts ranked by fit × timing and reviewable why-now and assessment drafts; source links appear when the underlying records include them.
